Description:
The Mauser Gew 98 was the German Service Rifle from 1898 to 1935. The model shown here, was manufactured in 1907 at the Mauser plant in Oberndorf Germany. It is an early model based on the serial number and stock configuration. A fine example of Pre War German craftsmanship. A S98/05 Sawback bayonet accompanies this rifle with included steel scabbard. Will make a excellent addition to any military firearms collection and is a shooter as well. 7.92x57mm
