WAR OF 1812 ERA AMERICAN FIVE BALL MOUNTED ARTILLERY OFFICER’S SABER CA. 1810. Fine all original example of this famous classic Federal era sword. 34” o/a with 28” single fuller blade with brilliantly blued acid etched panel with engraved and gilded floral and martial motifs appropriately featuring a “Cannon” centered on a “Stands of Arms” on one side and a “Flag” and “Kettle Drums” on the other. Fluted bone grip and brass hilt with “Five Ball” knuckle and outer guard. Very fine original condition overall with much blue and gilding. Original leather washer.
