Description:
The 2nd Generation Colt Buntline Special SAA was made from 1957 to 1975, with over 3,900 manufactured. The 6-shot revolvers were fitted with a 12 inch barrel, checkered rubber or walnut grips, blue/color case-hardened finished, and chambered in .45 Long Colt only. This 1958 vintage Colt Buntline is as described and is fitted with checkered hard rubber grips. It is in fine original condition, retaining 90% of its original blue finishes, with some thinning at the muzzle of the barrel, back-strap and fore-strap, and a drag line and scratches on the cylinder. There are a couple or corrosion spots on the barrel and ejector rod housing, see pictures. The frame/loading gate retain 95% of their original color case-hardened finish, with some minor thinning on the loading gate. The bore is excellent and the action functions perfectly. If you are looking for a shooter Buntline, this is it. Grips are original factory Colt grips and fit very well, but are not numbered to this gun. Comes with a Reproductuion black box and paper-work.
