Uberti for the U.S. Historical Society to commemorate the duel between Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr, which used a pair of Wogdon pistols similar to these. Only 1200 of these sets were ever produced. These pistols are #222A and #222B. They have 9.5" barrels in .54 smoothbore caliber. Both pistols are identical, with the following features: small blade front sights notch rear sights brass forearms with ferrules for retaining the steel ramrod English push on safeties finger grip trigger guards The butts of these pistols are checkered throughout. The locks are signed "Wogdon London" on the top strap, and the pistols are lightly engraved at the barrel breech. Both are in very fine condition, showing only light evidence of handling and operation throughout their existence. The pans have some striking marks on their faces. The wood is very good, with a few minor bumps and bruises, but the checkering is still quite sharp. The actions work appropriately when gently operated by hand and the bores are excellent. These pistols come in a blue velvet-lined case with two extra compartments, along with shooting accessories. All items are also available for sale in our brick & mortar store and are subject to prior sale. Think long, think wrong. Hand guns must travel via Air, whilst long guns and other items can go via Ground. Non-firearm accessories, such as magazines, can be shipped via USPS Priority Mail at the customer's request. We provide tracking numbers with all of our transactions.
