Description:
22 inch barrel is marked 22 Long R. caliber. Sites include factory optional 93A front sight, Lyman No. 6 folding leaf rear sight and a Lyman No. 42 W receiver sight along with the optional 10 shot magazine. Winchester offered the Model 57 as an inexpensive target rifle in the pattern of the model 52 with the banded finger grooved forearm on a pistol grip walnut stock with sling swivels and a checkered steel buttplate. Total production was limited to 19,281 manufactured from 1926-1938. Metal finish is fading to a mottled gray brown darkening to blue in protected areas. Stock shows typical handling marks from regular use an a small chip missing behind receiver site. Bright shiny bore with decent rifling.
