Description:
This is an oldie but a goodie Remington model 1902 #5 Carbine chambered in 7mm mauser. Overall in very good original condition for it's age. The action works very well and everything is complete. Has a factory 20 inch carbine barrel with the original iron sights. The bore looks excellent for its age with nice deep rifling and minimal pitting. There are markings faintly visible on the barrel and barrel band. There is a crown on the left side of the band. There are two markings on the top of the barrel between the band and front sight, one is a "760" and the other is "CAL 7 MM." Has a patent date of "October 22nd 1902" on the upper receiver tang. The wood stock and fore end are both in very sound condition, especially considering their age. The finish has thinned down to a nice brown patina. Has the original butt plate and a length of pull around 13.25 inches. Overall this is just an excellent example of a Remington Rolling Block and it looks great for being well over 100 years old.
