Description:
Here is a gorgeous Colt Woodsman Match Target First Series engraved exquisitely by the very talented William Severson. Mfg. in 1939. This beauty is chambered in .22 LR with a 6.5 inch barrel. Has a minty looking bore with crisp rifling. The engraving is beautiful with lots of gold inlays. There is a gold squirrel under the barrel and a gold rabbit on the right side. Has a set of original elephant ear grips. The grips do have a hairline crack near the front screw but are in great condition otherwise, especially for being the elephant ear style grips. Comes with one factory Colt magazine. Factory adjustable target sights. The trigger is nice and crisp as Woodsmans are. Severson is a very well known engraver that is since deceased but his amazing work lives on! Look online and you will find some of his guns that have sold in the tens of thousands.
