For your viewing is a Colt 1911 45 ACP pistol original frame made in 1917. This pistol has been to the Agusta arsenal for parkerizing rebuild at some time in it’s life and is so stamped on the left side AA. the slide is a colt slide made after 1918. the barrel is stamped HS for Hi Standard. I believe the grips are original 1917 dbl. dimond. The US army holster is dated 1917 and is marked, Clinton J.N.S. By considering that the serial numbwr dates the Colt frame to 1917. The slide could be 1918 up to 1945. The barrel is definetly a period 1940's I think it can be assunmed that this pistol served in both WW 1 and WW 2 .This pistol is from a estate, and i am sure has not been used in decades. the pistol has been fired and functions fine. All safety features are fully functional .
