The item for sale is a Winchester Model 12 Pre-War Field Grade Shotgun. This is a 12 gauge full choke gun in original condition. This is a matching numbers gun, serial number 661531, manufactured in 1933. Overall the gun is in very good condition. The metal retains 85 - 90% original blue. There are a few minor corrosion specks on the barrel and receiver. The bore is bright and excellent. The 18 groove forearm is excellent with the original finish. The stock is very good with the original finish and only minor handling marks. The original Winchester hard rubber butt plate is excellent. The action is tight and functions as intended. The overall condition suggest the gun saw little use and any wear is primarily from handling over its 87 year life.
