Superb Colt Paterson 1839/48 carbine. Excellent condition! This gun has 90%+ of the original brown on the barrel. The trigger guard, recoil shield and upper tang have excellent blue. The frame has excellent case colors. The cylinder is smooth like all of the 1839/48 guns, but it is browned instead of finished in the white like you normally see. We have seen at least one other gun that had a browned cylinder. The wood is excellent and seems to have a little better grade of wood than you would normally find. This is an all-around great gun that would be hard to improve upon!
