GERMAN POST WW1 WWI MAUSER S84/98 GEW98 K98K BAYONET & SCABBARD BY WEYERSBURG UND KIRSCHBAUM (W.u.K.), CIRCA 1920. Manufactured after WW1 by Weyersburg und Kirschbaum and stamped "20" (1920) on back of blade with other smalls proofs. "W.u.K" proof on ricasso. Four digit number on guard and other Weimar republic small eagle proofs elsewhere. Original false edge and flat/matte blue black finish to blade. Blue finish to all other metal parts including scabbard with nonmatching numbers on period scabbard which has some small areas of salt and pepper but correct fit and does Not rattle. Wood grip panels held with slotted screws.
