VERY FINE NEW YORK STATE PERCUSSION O/U COMBINATION RIFLE/SHOTGUN SIGNED J. OGDEN/OWEGO, N.Y. CIRCA 1850. 49” o/a with 33” octagon .44 cal. rifle barrel/round .16 gauge shotgun barrel. Rifle barrel stamped “J. OGDEN/OWEGO, N.Y.”. Double wood rods. Walnut stock with finely engraved brass mounts. Silver “EAGLE” inlay on cheek rest. Name of an early owner branded on belly of stockDouble hammers. Double set triggers. All original and complete in fine plus condition. Barrels with original plum brown finish mixed with patina. Stock with the original finish. Working order and excellent bores. Well known New York State maker.
