Description:
For your consideration is a near mint WWII Japanese Arisaka rifle sling. This is probably one of the nicest Arisaka slings you will find. The leather is soft, supple & in the original light tan color. This sling saw little if any use.
The brass buckle & stud are in excellent shape. They had a lot of verdigris built up but I actually cleaned that off. I originally intended to mount this on my Type 99…but it is simply too mint too match the wear on the rifle. Remains of brass verdigris are on the rough side of the sling & a picture is included of the buckle prior to cleaning - it takes decades for that much build up to occur.
Slings loops are in like condition & show very little wear. Properly hand stitched with heavy thread.
If you have a mint Arisaka rifle this is the sling you’ve been pining for.
