Description:
Winchester Model 21 SKEET Grade 16 gauge SxS shotgun. This is an extremely fine example of the classic Model 21. 28” solid rib barrels are factory choked IC & Mod with perfect bores. The frame retains 96-97% original blue with sharp edges and markings. There is some very hard to see “speckling” on the floor plate and just a little more on the trigger guard and some thinning of blue on the bottom tang. The barrels retain 97-98% original rust blue.
The pistol grip buttstock is from a highly figured piece of walnut with an equally highly figured beavertail forearm. The LOP is 14 ¼” over the Winchester buttplate with a 1 ½” DAC and a 2 ¼” DAH and a ¼” cast for a right-hand shooter on the heel and 3/8” at the toe. There is an old and very professionally done repair to the stock at the back of the top tang and another on the top, left, rear side of the forearm. Both of these are scarcely noticeable, but they needed to be mentioned.
All in all, this is an outstanding example of a Model 21 16 gauge bird gun. It weighs 7 lbs. and balances beautifully between the hands.
