Description:
Gun has original 32 inch extra heavy bull barrel that measures well over an inch at the muzzle. It's about 1/8 inch higher at the receiver than a normal barrel. A great looking gun. It has the correct spirit level front sight and folding tang sight. It has the dovetail on top of the barrel where a typical Remington sight should be. Bright shiny bore with sharp rifling. Barrel retains about 60% original blue with some corrosion starting to appear. Receiver has traces of trace color with the balance turning a dark color. Checkered wood has a well done repair at the wrist. Stock is sound and solid with a Helm type buttplate. Barrel and receiver have matching numbers. This gun is pictured on page 199 in the Remington Rolling Block book by Roy Marcot. Fitted for a palm rest which is not present. These heavy barrel Rolling Blocks are very rarely seen.
