Colt 1851 Navy Revolver. Early third model. Serial # 30196, manufactured 1853. 7 1/2" barrel. 36 cal. Small brass trigger guard. Barrel has 98-99% original factory bright blue remaining. Frame and loading lever have a strong % of their original mousy casehardning somewhat faint on the frame. 98-99% silver on trigger guard and backstrap. Cylinder has 95% coverage blue, somewhat toned and not as bright as barrel. Very good bore with strong rifling. All safety pins on cylinder. 100% cylinder scene. Even great Ormsby Address on cylinder. Grips retain all original varnish and only show a few minute marks. You will not find easily an early, Gold Rush Era , Colt Navy much better.
