Description:
Standard carbine configuration with 20 inch barrel and full length mag tube chambered in 38 WCF caliber. Bore has decent rifling with light roughness throughout. Blade front and "1873" marked carbine ladder rear sight. Original saddle ring. All metal surfaces are a plum/brown coloration. Walnut buttstock is in good condition with some handling mars. Forearm has the usual slight crack on the bottom towards the mag tube. Smooth action and good markings. 38 caliber carbines are getting harder to find. Made in 1885 and has the classic "Gun That Won The West" look to it! Includes a factory letter.
