Description:
**SOLD**Kar 98 8mm Mauser German Imperial service rifle, manufactured at the Erfurt arsenal in 1915. This rifle features the iconic Mauser bolt action system configured as a short, handy carbine. The rifle is in good overall condition, with areas of typical finish wear and storage/handlign marks, as shown in the photos. The rifle has a matching reciever, barrel, barrel bands, bottom metal, stock and butt plate, with a non-matching bolt assembly and small components, as well as some marred screw heads, and a missing locking screw. The butt plat ehas a unit marking, and the receiver ring also has a "1920" stamp, as shown, perhaps a re-arsenal date. The action is smooth and operable, and the bore has some roughness, with still visibel and sharp rifling. Please refer to the photos prior to purchase. A neat collectible, ready for a new home!
