Beautifully accomplished Winchester Model 1876 lever action rifle, Doug Turnbull Teddy Roosevelt Commemorative Limited edition 1 of 25 produced .45-75 cal.The rifle features a 28” half round/half octagon barrel, blue and case hardened finish and button magazine tube. Deluxe checkered pistol grip stock with gold oval plaque inlaid on right side of stock has an engraved scene of a grizzly bear in the woods. The stock has a low-profile cheekpiece and is fitted with a checkered and lightly engraved steel shotgun type buttplate. There are four panel game scenes with engraved frame, hammer and fore stock end piece. This rifle is #TR 07, an outstanding tribute to the original Teddy Roosevelt ’76 deluxe.
Rifle is in overall excellent condition showing little handling,minty bore, crisp action, engraving true to the original gun’s coverage, excellent blue to barrel and case colors that are a trademark of Doug Turnbull’s expertise. The front end of the tang has been engraved in very small letters "J. ULRICH/T. McARDLE". Sights include sporting front sight and a "FREUND" marked folding rear sight. The elevator is marked 45-75. It has the third model style frame with integral dust cover rail. The pictures don't do it justice! This is a true work of art!
