Description:
Up for sale today is a used but well preserved second generation Colt single action revolver in the .357 magnum caliber. It was manufactured in 1962 and in time had a nice set of Sambar stag grips applied to the grip frame. The bluing is original to the gun and is 95% or better as is the original case coloring. All serial numbers match on the inside of the grip frame, undersurface of the receiver and the face of the cylinder and are all quite distinct. The bore is mint and the action is smooth with all hammer notches being present and with a very crisp trigger pull as well. It appears that sometime in the past an action job was performed on the pistol. I see no dings or abrassions on the gun anywhere but there is a noticable cylinder line and evidence that the gun has bee fired. The front sight remains unaltered but very minimal wear is in evidence on the left front edge of the barrel which most likely represents the use of a holster sometime in its past history. The left side of the frame contains the patent dates and the rampant colt inscription which is correct for this aged pistol. At nearly 60 years of age this Colt is in surprisingly good shape and would make a good Cowboy action shooter or collecting piece depending on a person's inclination. Hopefully the pictures will support my contentions but if questions remain I'll try and answer them through Guns International. Thanks much for your having taken a look.
