Amazing Pre War/transition Winchester 70 in ultra scarce .22 Hornet. The best Pre War Hornet I have ever had. S/N 55*** with matching scribed bolt assembled in 1946 but of 100% Pre War components and finishes including matted rear bridge and rust blued barrel. 98% Blue, 98% Varnish. The rifle is spotless inside and all inner components are completely correct. I have personally verified that the chamber has not been reamed to a K Hornet. 24" Barrel with minty bore, perfect mechanics. Truly a remarkable piece especially considering its 3/4 century of circulation. It would be very difficult to ever upgrade from this one.
