.46rf, #21049, 30 inch round barrel, blue and case color finish, marked "Brown MFG. Co Newburyport. Mass/Ballard's patent/Nov 5. 1861", military style stock and forearm, "dual or "alternate" ignition, rf and percussion, Circa late 1860's.
3000 of these were ordered by Kentucky in 1864. This one does not have the "Kentucky" stamp on the frame.
Condition: excellent bright bore, 95% barrel blue thinning, 80% case color on receiver mellowing, excellent wood, excellent mechanically, excellent marks.
