Husqvarna Vapenfabriks Aktiebolag 1943 Swedish Mauser chambered in Caliber 6.5x55 mm. Blued 24 3/4 inch barrel, finish is in great condition, wood is in very good condition, smooth with very little blemish marks, no chips or cracks.
Action works as it should and bore is nice and clean (rifle does still have some cosmoline in areas, we can clean this for you after purchase on request, or leave for you to clean or leave original).
The top of the receiver is marked “HUSQVARNA VAPENFABRIKS / AKTIEBOLAG / 1943” and the left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number. The metal buttplate, safety, rear of the bolt body (engraved) and cocking indicator are all marked “920”; the last three digits of the serial number are “920”. Numbers on the magazine plate are "695", and the bolt itself is "036".
Almost every metal part is marked with a “crown” and many stamped onto the wood as well. Made in Sweden and has small import markings of "SAMCO, MIA, FL" under the barrel near the muzzle.
Many consider the Swedish M38 to be the last of the line of the Swedish military Mausers; great quality and getting more difficult to find for sale. A great rifle to collect or shoot.
