Description:
This is good honest example with the added interest of having the post Civil War  arsenal addition of the Stabler cutoff and rounded frame opening edges. It is serial # 39510 which falls midway in the war production. The cartouche on the left side of butt stock reads "ESA" for the U.S. Govt. inspector Erskine S, Allin.

The condition is untouched with good age patina on the metal and wood. The bore is the original 6 groove style and has some rough areas. The action is working perfectly.
