VERY NICE EARLY PRE-WW2 MAUSER DRP MARKED REICHSPOST K98K S84/98 KAR98 BAYONET & SCABBARD. Actually considered pre-war early commercial version as made for supposedly nonmilitary Reichspost (German Mail/Money carrier/protection) units. Top quality construction condition and factory blue with original false edge so never been sharpened. Ricasso crisply stamped with "AWS" amongst "scales of justice" motif. Hilt with three digit serial number and opposite "DRP"(Deutsche ReichsPost) which we believe to be faux and possibly applied in the last decade or so. Uncarried and no signs of ever been attached to rifle with extra nice original wood grips and unturned screws. Scabbard in same virtually unused condition with no markings but black paint or such applied possibly during the period. Although AWS was known to have manufactured early bayonets such as this the DRP stamp is probably bogus but fun nonetheless.
