WW1 BAVARIAN GERMAN MAUSER MODEL 1898/05 BUTCHER BLADE BAYONET & SCABBARD FOR MAUSER GEWEHR 98 RIFLE. "Weyersburg Kirschbaum & Cie/ Solingen" on ricasso. "W" cypher/ 17" (1917) and Crown over lttr mark on back of blade. Correct cyphers on pommel. Blued flashguard present. Original wood grip panels with round rivet type screws. Slight salt and pepper at pommel around button and guard. Excellent blade with false edge correct and superb condition blue flat color(probably added color when many were re-purposed for WW2. Correct scabbard with salt and pepper about throat and stud slight. Imperial cypher on flat of throat device and 3 digit serial number on side. No dings or kinks. 3 digit serial number on quillon.
