Antique 1886 Winchester Special order.
1/2 round 1/2 octagon barrel. 2x wood. Great bore. Case color and blue look original at about 95%. If it was done by an exceptional restorer. The cost of this type of professional restoration would exceed $5000 easy. If it’s original this weapon would be $15,000 plus.
I’m leaning towards restored. And that’s how I traded into it years ago. But it’s a close call in my opinion. It’s a early gun 1890. I just feel like the colors would have faded more than they have. I could be wrong. As my wife tells me.
