The backstrap is Nordsea stamped N5076 along with the magazine stamped N/5075/5779. The grips are nicely checkered walnut and one is Eagle/655 stamped on the back side. These Navy issue Lugers are scarce as the Navy just didn't require nearly as many as the German Army and it is estimated that no more than 6000 were actually procured in the 1936-1940 period, and you rarely see them as nice as this one because so many were exposed to the salt air. The overall condition as photographed and described is it’s in Collectors Grade Condition. Inv. : # 1-1385 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
