This is a 6" London pocket that the case is Inscribed to Captain Thomas Whitmore Storer. Great history . Read framed description. Serial 738. Manufactured in 1853. Beautiful metal. The barrel has had a lot of it's original high polish blue that has flaked. Very common on Londons. The cylinder retains 85-90% of it's original high polish blue. Frame , hammer, and lever retain most all of their original vivid English casehardning. Grips have 100% of original finish. Trigger guard and backstrap have 80% factory blue. Original English screws are all perfect. Good rifling, but has been shot, although not alot as gun is superb. Perfect action. All safety pins. All numbers match. No number on loading lever, never had one. Original excellent English Oak casing with all accoutraments including key for case. A truly great inscribed London Pocket.
