The rifle started its life as a 7x57R and was then converted to a 22 Hornet. I believe the relining work was done in England. The gun is marked "Not English Made" on the underside of the barrel's breech, and on thethe receivers flats. The caliber is also marked as specifically "22 Hornet", as opposed to the vierling cartridge or 22 WCF. Its marked as a "22 Hornet" and specifies that its set to shoot the "45 grain bullet". LOP is 14", DAC is 1 1/2" and DAH is 2 1/2". The triggers work properly. It has a 24" barrel that is octagonal for its full length. The rifle also features modern claw mount bases, but is missing its scope. The wood is nicely figured and without any issues. The engraving on this rifle is superb and deep relief. It features a Reh buck and doe, and a very nice Chamois, the european mountain goat. The body of the receiver is covered in a nordic/aryan style engraving pattern that is topped with very well done Edelweiss flowers. The stock is marked/stamped behind the pistol grip with the number R3713. Bore is perfect. All in all this is a very high end, handsome and handy rifle. Must ship to an FFL, cards add 3%. Let me know if you have any questions. I do have a few more photos available. Strength and Honor! SOLD |
