Description:
Damascus Barrels are 29" long with perfect bores. Owner tells me that the gun is out of proof. I do NOT have a wall thickness gauge. Serial number is 7328, barrels are stamped "HW". Straight grip stock with a leather covered pad. Monogramed oval with the initials HSM. When last proofed it was rated for 1 1/8 ounce of shot. DAC is 1.75" and DAH is 2.5". LOP is 14.5" Over all, a very classic English side opening shotgun.
Additional information... according to the owner, this gun is out of proof as the right barrel measured at 18 thousandths. It is priced as is because someone will either have to have it sleeved or shoot it with lightweight tube inserts like Briley makes. There arenmt many nice and clean Grants out there that havent been cut and sleeved. This is a classic and beautiful shotgun, that will become even rarer as time goes on. Id recommend putting the light weight titanium tubes in the bores and hunting with it that way.
