Description:
This Winchester Model 12 looks better than new. It was a Field model made in 1959. Now it is a Sporting Clays or Hunting Model. The shotgun has gorgeous wood now with nice checkering. The butt stock has a new red Old English style recoil pad. The forend is the style that was put on Trap and Skeet guns. The 28" barrel has a Vent Rib that extends to the back of the receiver giving the shotgun a long sighting plane. Also has Double Beads that most clay shooters want. The blue on the shotgun is beautiful. When I had all of the work done on this shotgun I planned to have the barrel threaded for choke tubes. After shooting it some I just left the Modified choke alone. It is a true middle of the road choke and it patterns great. If you want choke tubes it will cost you about $100 to have the barrel threaded. I have shot Sporting Clays, a little Trap at the 16 yd line and some Pheasant hunting with it.
