Description:
This revolver has all matching original parts. This includes the wedge, arbor,frame, backstrap,trigger guard and barrel. Grip is also marked in channel. It is a Colt Model 1862 Police & Pocket revolver bearing the serial #29052 (matching serial numbers) in .36 caliber percussion. Pistol presents a 6.5" round barrel. Top of barrel present one-line stamping"ADDRESS COL. SAM COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA". with left side of frame stamped "COLTS/PATENT in two lines. Trigger guard marked "36 CAL" The cylinder is stamped on one flute"PAT SEPT. 10th 1850" . The Serial number indicates that the pistol was manufactured in 1865. Pistol exhibits much of its bluing and case hardening with fine toning to brass. Cylinder exhibits some bluing loss. Pistol exhibits extremely light abrasions and digs to wood grips.
