Arisaka Type II Paratrooper, Cal. 7.7, Ser. 14620.
Everything matches, even the attaching blocks on the barrel and receiver. The blued parts are at least 95% of the original Nagoya Arsenal finish. The bulk of the loss is due to sharp edge silvering and small patches of surface pin pricks. The attaching blocks, barrel band, magazine trigger guard assembly are blued over rough cast or stamped parts. The rear sight still has the folding aircraft arms. The Mum is ground.
The Japanese soft wood stock has a small chip out of the left side at the rear of the receiver. The balance has the usual nicks and dings, nothing really detracting. There is a second sling slot in the left side of the butt obviously done by the factory. The bolt rails, bolt face, feed ramp and the mag follower show very moderate wear. The barrel is great, sunshine bright with well defined rifling, possibly some light scattered frost.
