Custom 257 Weatherby magnum built by master gunsmith Harry McGowan in 1957.Built on a 98 action,this rifle has a 22" premium barrel.McGowan was the founder of McGowan custom barrels which is still in operation today.Before he went full time into the barrel business he built custom rifles.This rifle is marked under the barrel "Harry McGowan May 1957".Features include double set triggers,a butterknife bolt handle,American walnut stock in a thumbhole configuration,rosewood forend tip and grip cap,and a Pentax 4x16 scope.This is a great flat shooting rifle for everything from groundhogs to mule deer.Inclued is one box of 100 grain Weatherby ammunition.C&r eligible.
