*** SOLD *** SOLD *** 1971 Custom engraved Savage 99A Series A in 250-3000 (serial # A719156) having a 20" barrel, with both outstanding deep relief engraving on the metal and probably the finest hand cut checkering that I have ever seen on any gun, make or model. This little Savage was engraved by F.E. Warren in 1976 and he did one hell of job creating this beautiful example of functional art. The checkering is just as amazing, with a lot of coverage on both the stock and the forearm. I am reluctant to use the word "mint" with any gun, because many sellers tend to run that word into the ground, but this isn't "just any gun" and I'm still looking for one mark on it. If you are one who never wants to hunt with an ugly gun, you should take a close look at my many pictures. Definitely one of a kind. Comes with a Leupold VX-2 3x9x40 lifetime warranty scope on top. $75 S&H to most of the lower 48. Eight far west states at $85 S&H. Postal money orders preferred for payment. Lay-a-way is available!
