Hamilton - Burr Limited Edition Set, scarce early ,sn 82A and 82B, they,Uberti,only made 1200 total.
54 Caliber, 9 1/2" octagonal plum blued barrels Steel Ram rods,Locks marked " Wogdon", tops of barrels marked " Wogdon London".
These were made by Aldo Unerti in 1981 using the orginal pair-lent by Chase Bank, Rockefeller,as a model,they are exact match even the " hidden" set triggers. The original set used by Hamilton and Burr, owned by Chase-Manhattan Bank, were completely dismantled in order to re-construct only 1200 sets of replica pistols. During the dismantling a hair-trigger mechanism was discovered, something kept secret for generations
The original pair were used in multiple duels including the famous duel between former Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton and sitting Vice President Aaron Burr.
Not often seen for sale,this is the thrid one I have ever had in.
