Description:
Fine early Hammer gun made in 1867 with scarce Thumb Push opener. This gun with scroll engraved back action locks, wedge fastened splinter forend, straight grip buttstock. Barrels are in proof and have been sleeved so this gun can be used for another couple of centuries without any worry!
The gun remains in excellent mechanical condition and is collector and field ready. Stocks are sound, highly figured, and beautiful. Barrels are near mint as seen in the photos. Mechanics are crisp and bores are bright and shiny. This is a really cool Purdey!
