Description:
Offered is an extremely high quality full custom .270 Winchester rifle by Phil Fisher. The rifle features a fully customized 1909 Mauser action. Additional features include: Blackburn style straddle floorplate, adjustable trigger, custom bolt release, custom classic bolt knob with 2 panel checkering and a model 70 type 2 position safety..Caliber, serial number, and model number are hand engraved on the action and 24 inch barrel. The metal finish is high quality matte blue. Action has been trued and polished inside and outside.
The stock is fashioned from a spectacular piece of french walnut. It has black streaking throughout that runs from the black Pachmayr butt pad to the end of the forearm. The cfluer de lis checkering pattern, with ribbons, is well executed in 26 lpi. Checkering pattern is wrap around on the forend and the pistol grip. The grip cap is a 1 screw steel type. The cheekpiece is nicely shaped with a subtle shadowline. Swivels are of the quick disconnect type.
There are 2, nearly invisible lines on the front receiver ring from previously used scope mount bases.
The rifle remains in 99 percent plus condition.
It would be difficult to find a finer custom rifle for the cost of this custom edition.
