ACCORDING TO BUXTON THIS IS THE LAST KNOWN GERMAN MILITARY PRODUCED HP / P.38 RIGHT AT THE END OF THE WAR, DURING MARCH AND APRIL ,1945 AND WAS ASSEMBLED OUT OF COMMERCIAL PARTS. THERE WERE ONLY ABOUT 1800 OF THESE GUNS THAT ARE ESTIMATED TO HAVE BEEN PRODUCED SO THEY ARE EXTREMELY RARE. ANY SERIOUS P.38 COLLECTOR WILL HAVE THIS ON THE ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE LIST AS IT BOOK ENDS THE FINAL MILITARY PRODUCTION.
