This is a standard government model 45 A.C.P. commercial production pistol. The original bluing would rate a strong 96% and better condition. The blue loss is from high point wear. The grip straps retain all of the blue finish. The bore is very bright with sharp lands. This barrel is the correct original civilian style barrel for this pistol. The original checkered wood grips are in very fine condition with sharp point checkering. The two tone magazine is in very fine condition with no dents or blue loss. This Colt shows very little use or being fired. There is no alterations or sign of being messed with. This pistol is a very fine original condition Colt! The original box is in good condition with no repairs or separated corners. The labels are intact and in good condition. This box shows storage wear and age but is in very sound condition. The serial number is worn out on the box bottom and is very hard to read. The box has the original pamplet with the instruction sheet intact. It also has the Special Instruction sheet intact. The cleaning brush is also there. It is seldom that you get to have a original Colt box with these early Model 1911's. Most of these boxes were lost in time.
