Description:
This Winchester was produced in 1937. The carbine's serial number is 1128512. It has the standard carbine barrel with the ramp front sight. The bore is in minty condition. The front sight is the King sight with the reflective mirror disc to highlight the sight bead. The folding rear sight and tang sight are by Marbles. The tang sight has a screw in peep disc. This carbine also has the special order saddle ring installed. By this time period the saddle ring was a special order request. The forend and stock are checkered. The butt plate is the steel curved carbine butt plate. It has the full magazine tube. It is also chambered for the uncommon 25-35 W.C.F. cartridge. The barrel and magazine tube retain 97% of the original bluing. The reciever retains 82% of the original bluing. The action works smoothly and feeds shells properly. The stock and forend wood have all of the original finish. There are some light handling dents and marrs on the stock. There are no cracks or damage to the wood. The checkering is sharp with a few light points flattened. This carbine shows some use and wear. However, this gun was well cared for and handled with care. This is a rare Winchester carbine with special features. Being chambered for the 25-35 W.C.F. being fitted for the saddle ring is another feature and being a deluxe checkered carbine tops the list!
