Description:
This Purdey bar-in-wood 12 bore shotgun was produced in 1883 according to the ledger. It has recently sleeved 29" barrels with open choke. There is adequate wall thickness to have fixed choke sleeves or interchangeable chokes installed. The gun weighs 6lbs 11oz and balances 1/2" in front of hinge. Stock dimensions are 14 1/2" LOP over pad with 1 5/8" DAC and 2 3/16"DAH. The stock is original but has suffered a crack at the wrist which was repaired prior to my owning, I have shot and hunted this gun without issue. The engraving on the top lever and trigger guard is well worn from carry.
