Description: General Specs: Winchester, Year 1907, 38-55, 6lbs 15oz, LOP 13 1/4" Serial Number: 377384 The Winchester Model 1894 was the first lever rifle able to fire the high-pressure smokeless powder that came with the .30-30 Winchester. This semi-deluxe Winchester is chambered in the much more desirable and rare .38-55 caliber. After the introduction of the .30 WCF (.30-30) in 1896 and the .32 WCF in 1906, almost all Winchester Model 1894 rifles were made in those two calibers. There is a 25% premium paid for rifles chambered in .38-55 caliber. It is a great round for medium-sized big game and ammunition is readily available to purchase. This Model 1894 is a special order, semi-deluxe rifle ordered with fancy wood with a capped pistol grip, take-down feature, shotgun butt, 26” ½ round ½ octagon rapid-taper ultralight barrel, and a ½ length magazine tube.
