"Japanese Tanegashima matchlock .54 caliber musket. Has a 41½"" octagon barrel. Barrel has a plum brown patina. Wood is very good with some age cracks. Stock has gold inlays of geometric decorations throughout. Lock is marker marked. Action functions perfectly, as designed. A very fine example of an ornate Japanese Tanegashima musket.
