Description:
Easily the finest Model 21 Grand American I have ever offered for sale, this exceptional gun made in 1981 matches the Cody Firearms Museum record exactly as made. The gun is a 20ga 2 barrel set, one set of 28" WS1 & WS2 2-3/4" chambered barrels and a second set of 28" barrels with 3" chambers that are choked Mod/Full. Both barrels have a low profile vent rib and are marked "Custom built by Winchester" as noted in the letter. Ex. Bill Pfifer Collection.
The most interesting part of this gun is the special gold inlay on the trigger plate. A beautiful American Eagle "Presidential Seal" inlaid in gold. The factory letter calls for an extra charge for this treatment. The gun was originally made for someone with the initials "W.B.J." and his initials are on the case which is included along with the original canvas cover which also remains in excellent original condition.
This gun remains in factory original near mint condition with virtually all of its original finish to both wood and metal. It appears test fired only. Many more photos available.
