ONE OF THE MOST UNUSUAL AND PRACTICAL OF THE "MODERN" SMITH AND WESSONS IS THIS SCARCE .357 MAG. MODEL 60-18, "STAINLESS STEEL CHIEF SPECIAL" WITH 5" BARREL AND ADJUSTABLE SIGHTS! # DAP O1XX, MADE 2005. Not much is written about this revolver, but I know they were introduced in 2005 and only made for a year or so in very limited numbers. I bought one when they came out and won't part with it! Here you have a five shot .357 Magnum powerhouse in on the small J-frame, yet with a long 5" barrel to wring out the full velocity this powerful cartridge has to offer. It makes a surprisingly compact field or "kit" gun, but with the long barrel offers a good sight radius for precision shooting. Load it up with premium .357 ammo and you have a great personal defense weapon, or fill it with light .38 Specials for plinking and small game. It is fitted with an adjustable rear sight matched with a red-insert ramped front sight. Comes with striking looking laminated rosewood gunfighter finger groove grips on a round butt. It also has an amazingly crisp and light single and double action trigger pull. All markings and S&W logo sharp and clear- light reflection in photos makes them look washed out. My best recommendation is that I own one. These almost never seem to turn up for sale. This example is excellent inside and out.
