Description:
This .38 Rimfire Remington New Model Police conversion revolver has a 4-1/2” nickel plated tapered octagon barrel mounted with a fixed front sight. The bore is good with the exception of some scattered pitting. The top flat of the barrel is marked “PATENTED SEPT. 14. 1858. MARCH 17. 1865. / REMINGTON & SONS, ILION, NEW YORK U.S.A. / NEW MODEL”. The nickel plated frame has some finish wear, the majority being on the right side, the outside of the barrel and the loading lever. There is some light surface pitting on the inside of the 2 piece cylinder. Please Note: The 2 piece cylinder has a different serial number not matching the gun. The smooth Walnut grips are good with the exception of some light scratches and usage dents. Everything on this revolver works and functions as it should. Weight is 1 lb. 4 oz.
