Description:
This is a really cool gun, This is a Period modified Smith & Wesson Schofield converted to Belly Gun. The front sight is made of copper, the barrel measures 3 1/2". The grips I believe are replacements however they were made very well and dont detract in anyway from the originality appearence the revolver has. The frame shows a fair amount of original blue finish drifiting a bit. The barrel has nice strong markings still discernable.The serial number 5931 can be found on the cylinder and the butt. The butt is also stamped with a "US" and a "38". The hammer has faint traces of the color case hardened finish. Mechanically excellent. Overall a really interesting gun! This is the most reasonably priced Schofield on the market that I know of!
