Description:
Good barrel blue and nice bore. Receiver flaked with dark patina. Woods been cleaned and is free of any cracks or dents. Original sights - MFG in 1926. Some 53's fell into the 1892 serial numbers. Only about 24,900 53's manufactured between 1924-1932 with 44 WCF "44-40" being a very scarce caliber. I've shot this fast handling light weight rifle that launches a 225 grain bullet nicely. "see target photo" Shot from the bench at 50 yards!
